Special Class Railway Apprentices exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Exam for Recruitment to the Special Class Apprentices in the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

Exam date: January 29, 2012 at various centers across India.

Eligibility: Must have passed first or second division, the intermediate or an equivalent exam (10+2) of a University/ Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects.

Application fee: Rs 100 to be deposited either in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking of SBI or by credit/ debit card. (SC/ ST/ PH/ Female candidates are exempted)
How to pay application fee: An applicant who wants to pay the fee by cash should take a print of the PAY-IN SLIP by clicking on the option "Print Bank Pay-in-Slip". Making use of this pay-in-slip, an applicant can deposit the fee in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India. The bank will not accept any other challan/form for the payment of fee by cash. After depositing the fee by this pay-in-slip, the bank will provide a "TRANSACTION ID". An applicant will again have to log in and start submission of the part-II of the online application.
An applicant can also pay the fee online using the internet banking facility of the State Bank of India.
An applicant can also pay the fee online using any VISA/MASTER DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD issued by any bank/institution.
No need to send hard copy of the application to upsc. you can keep one copy for your reference.
