Indian Air Force is calling male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches.

Course commencing January 2013 in the following branches:
Flying Branch: No. 11 short service commission course (11 SSC)
Technical Branch:
No. 82 Aeronautical Engineers Course (82 AEC) (Permanent Comission)
No. 54 Short service commission Course (54 SSC)
Ground Duty Branches:
No. 133 Ground Duty Officers’ course (133 GDOC) (Permanent Comission)
No. 26 Short service commission course (26 SSC)

University Entry Scheme (UES- 2013) (Permanent Comission)
Eligibility for Flying Branch
Age: 19 to 23 years as on January 1, 2013
Education qualification: Graduates (3 year degree course) in any discipline with 60 % marks and have passed Math and Physics subjects.
Technical Branch
Age: 18 to 28 yeas as on January 1, 20123
Education qualification:
Aeronautical engineer (Electronics) AE(L):
Candidates applying for AE(L) Branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification and secured a minimum of 60% marks in all papers put together from a recognized university or cleared section A and B examination of Associated Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
All candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% Marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE(M):
Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification and secured a minimum of 60% marks in all papers put together from a recognized university or cleared section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.
All candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Ground duty Branches: Short service commission will be available in Administration & Logistics Accounts, Meteorology and Education.

20 to 23 years: For Graduates
20 to 25 years:For post graduates/ LLB (Five years integrated course)
20 to 26 years: For LLB (Three years course after Graduation
20 to 27 years:For M Ed/ Ph D/ CA/ ICWA
Selection process: Appear for Air Force common Admission Test (AFCAT) to be conducted on February 26, 2012 at one of the examination centers.
Training commencement: First week of Jan 2013 for all courses except UES- 2013. The duration of training for Flying and Technical Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground duty Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.
